Home Team BBQ might just be my new favorite BBQ place. We arrived around 7:30 on a week night and were able to sit at the bar without a wait. The Gamechanger cocktail is good, not too sweet and perfect for a hot night. My husband and I split the Three Meat Combo Platter with pulled pork, brisket, jalapeno sausage, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. It was plenty of food to split and everything tasted really good. The Mac and cheese and pulled pork were the star dishes of the night. My only warning is that parking is hard to come by and we ended up paying for a space in a lot that was 25 for two hours. This is, of course, is not the restaurant's fault and wouldn't deter us from visiting again.

Laid-Back Beach Vibes & Killer BBQ We stopped in at Home Team BBQ on Sullivan’s Island after a day at the beach, and it did not disappoint! As first-timers from California, we were immediately drawn in by the fun, upbeat atmosphere. We grabbed seats at the bar and felt right at home. The pulled pork sandwiches were absolutely delicious—tender, smoky, and full of flavor. Their signature drink The Gamechanger (don’t skip it!) was the perfect way to cool off and unwind. The whole place just had a great energy—relaxed, friendly, and full of good vibes. Definitely a must-stop if you’re in the area and want great food with a beach-town feel. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Excellent BBQ. Loved having the different sauces handy on the table rather than having to choose just one or two! The fried pork ribs were a special and my god they were the best thing I ate all day. The pulled pork platter with baked beans and Mac and cheese was also very good, finished off with a banana pudding and I left there so full and happy.

While on a guy's trip, we went to the Home Team on Sullivan's Island to watch college football, drink, and eat BBQ. This is one of my good friend's favorite restaurants and I also love this place. They have an impressive selection of craft beer as well as a full bar. If you want to drink, you need to order a Game Changer. It is a frozen drink with rum, orange & pineapple juice, and cream of coconut with a dash of nutmeg. This is a fantastic drink. You can even add a floater, which is a shot of liquor on top. We were a party of 7, so we ordered a bunch of appetizers, including the smoked chicken wings, BBQ nachos, pork cracklins with pimento cheese, and the Tots. They were all so good. The wings are cooked perfectly and are some of the best wings I have ever had. For dinner, I had the ribs with a side a chili and mac & cheese. I enjoyed all of it. The Home Team is a great restaurant and sports bar. I wished they had this restaurant where I live, as I would be here all of the time. The food, drinks, and service are remarkable, and I highly recommend the Home Team.

Great time! We went around 8:30 and got two full racks of ribs, 1/4 chicken, brisket, and pulled pork and it was perfect for 6 people! Hot Sauce and Sweet Red were the favorite sauces. Was about 35 a person with drinks and nachos. We did the platters with the sides, would recommend the beans and the potato salad. We had a celiac and vegetarian and were well accommodated. Waiter was amazing and it was the best dinner we’ve had on our vacation! Never got his name but know he was born in Texas and worked there for 9 years! Warning: later in the night they could run out of mac and cheese and some meat cuts so don’t go too late! kitchen closes at 10!

We had a great lunch here! Cool atmosphere and great service! I got a pulled pork platter and she got a slider. We shared some. Wings and they were delicious! The Alabama white sauce is really good! Everything was great ! A bunch of sauce selections made it even better! They have a full bar as well if you need a cool one.

They were willing to work with us on Gluten-Free which was nice. But you should know they have one fryer and the tater tots, wings, tortilla chips are all fried in the same oil as the wheat covered items. The chili has beer so it has gluten. Our daughter with celiac ate the tacos without the tortillas because those have wheat too. The waiter was kind enough to put the taco stuffings on beans for her as she could not eat the tortillas. I had a brisket slider. It was heaven. So good! I am finding I do not like the collard greens anywhere in his area because it seems like a lot of vinegar. My family loves them. We had Calaloo in Jamaica recently and I loved that so maybe I’m biased. The service was fast and attentive. Cute place. They have a famous drink but I don’t drink alcohol so I cannot comment on it. Game changer I think it is called. Fun place! Can have a wait of 90 minutes in the summer but the food comes quick.

High energy- quality bbq and great service. Fun place to watch a game too. We caught a UNC basketball game - local Carolina fans in the house. Highly recommend this place any time of of day. Wings are incredible and they have several sauces on the table.
